Grief is the normal and natural reaction to a significant emotional loss of any kind. Beyond death and divorce, there are many other losses such as retirement, moving, pet loss, financial and health issues. Each loss is unique and affects us deeply. Grief can also be described as “the conflicting feelings caused by the end of or change in a familiar pattern of behavior”
While grief is normal and natural, most of the information we have learned about dealing with grief is not helpful. It is difficult to heal an emotional loss from the standpoint of the intellect since it is not our head that is broken but our heart. The grief recovery method addresses the misinformation we’ve been taught about grief and provides the information needed to take the action required for recovery.
There are more than 40 kinds of loss that a person can experience in their lifetime. Only you know how you feel but it probably isn’t good. Loss may even feel like your heart has been broken. Through the Grief Recovery Method you will learn the actions needed to regain a sense of well-being.
One on One Sessions:
Grief recovery work can be done in a one on one format as well as in group settings. Working one on one you will meet with me for a minimum of 7 sessions to help you resolve painful and conflicting feelings caused by loss.
Groups are kept intimate and confidential. There can be anywhere from 4 – 10 people in a group and confidentiality is a key factor in creating a safe space to express your grief and learn the beneficial actions to take to bring you to a state of completion with your loss. This setting allows you to feel supported by a group of caring individuals each experiencing their own unique sense of loss. You will learn with each other and support each other in the process of grief recovery.

We did some wonderful work with a whole range of techniques related to the exploration of a specific relationship.
